Acerca de HŌM
Danielle Desimone es oriunda de Dana Point y tiene una amplia experiencia en el comercio minorista y el diseño. Su carrera comenzó a los 16 años, cuando pasó de ser asociada de ventas a ocupar puestos como directora de ventas minoristas para una marca de belleza multinacional y directora de operaciones para una firma local de diseño de interiores. Estas experiencias culminaron con la fundación de HŌM Dana Point, una boutique de interiores y estilo de vida que refleja su pasión por crear espacios que se sientan como en casa.
El concepto de HŌM había estado en la mente de Danielle durante más de una década, pero no fue hasta abril de 2021 que dejó su trabajo anterior para perseguir este sueño. Imaginó una tienda donde los clientes se sintieran cómodos, inspirados y pudieran encontrar regalos únicos o accesorios para el hogar. Desde su apertura el 28 de abril de 2023, HŌM se ha convertido en un elemento básico en el Distrito de los Faroles de Dana Point y ha obtenido el reconocimiento como Negocio del Barrio por parte de la oficina del alcalde.
El compromiso de Danielle con su ciudad natal es evidente en sus esfuerzos por obtener productos locales y colaborar con empresas vecinas, muchas de las cuales también son de propiedad local. Más allá de las tiendas minoristas, HŌM funciona como un espacio de reunión comunitaria, donde se organizan eventos como demostraciones de cocina, clases de cócteles y talleres. La dedicación de Danielle a fomentar la comunidad y su amor por el diseño han hecho de HŌM Dana Point un destino querido tanto para los lugareños como para los visitantes.

Danielle Desimone is an interior designer and Dana Point native with over 20 years of experience in the retail industry. With a strong background in merchandising and a lifelong passion for design, Danielle’s career has taken her from early sales associate roles to leadership positions with global brands and local design firms.
In 2021, she took a leap of faith—leaving her corporate role to pursue a longtime dream. She envisioned a space that felt warm, personal, and inspiring—a boutique where customers could find beautiful home pieces, thoughtful gifts, and a true sense of community. That dream became reality with the launch of HŌM Dana Point, an interiors and lifestyle boutique in the heart of the Lantern District, which opened its doors on April 28, 2023.
In less than four months, HŌM was honored with the Business of the Quarter award by the Mayor’s office—an early recognition of its positive impact on the local community. Since then, HŌM has been consistently ranked the top gifting store in Dana Point every year since its opening, solidifying its reputation as a go-to destination for unique finds and elevated design.
More than just a retail shop, HŌM serves as a vibrant community hub. Danielle regularly hosts in-store events like cooking demos, cocktail classes, and design workshops, all aimed at bringing people together and sparking creativity. She is also committed to sourcing products locally and collaborating with other small, independently owned businesses throughout the area.
Danielle’s love for design and her dedication to her hometown are at the heart of HŌM—making it not only a beautiful place to shop, but a true reflection of community and connection.
